Mobi-Babble
Was 2013 Mobi’s Annus horribilis?
It certainly hasn’t been a great year, what with my serious health problems and losing all my savings.
But on the positive side, I had a wonderful trip to England to see all my family and if anything, my relationship with Noo is now stronger than ever. I now know more than ever that money doesn’t bring happiness, and there is no replacement for a loving family and good health. Riches are a distant third.
Upon reflection, maybe 2013 was my: Annus “Comme ci, comme ça” –ish….
(with sincere apologies to language academics everywhere….)
So sorry folks, not much of a blog this weekend. I did post my long ‘short’ story on Christmas Day, which I am hoping will tide you over until the New Year.
After 5 days during which I didn’t speak to a single soul, Noo and her son arrived back late on Friday evening, so things are slowly getting back to normal.
I am going to Bangkok next Thursday and will stay overnight with a friend at his condo, and on Friday morning I have an appointment with a pancreas specialist at Siriroj hospital in Thon Buri.
I plan to leave my car at the condo in soi 24, Sukhumvit and take a Sky train and then a boat along the Chao Phraya River to the hospital. That should be interesting.
All being well, my blog will be back to normal next weekend. In the meantime, I wish all my readers a very happy New Year and I sincerely hope that 2014 will bring you good health and good fortune.

Mobi-Snaps
Here is a selection of snaps that I took earlier this year during a trip to Samut Songkhram province with my youngest daughter and her husband.
It is an interesting mix of inland waterways, Thai jungle, wats, the famous floating market and even some wonderful ‘Bus Art’…
I hope you find something you like.
